Business Academic Advisor
The Business Academic Advisor works with business administration and accounting majors serving as a source of information concerning university and School of Business resources, procedures, and policies. The Business Academic Advisor is available to consult with students, advisors, and faculty both within and outside of the School of Business. The advisor also works with the academic advisors of New Student Programs. These advisors are primarily responsible for advising first-year and undeclared students. They also advise second-year accounting and business majors.
The Business Academic Advisor, Ms. Billi Gordy, works primarily with transfer students, international exchange students, and students who change to a major in business or accounting after their first year at Truman. Once all prerequisite requirements have been met for the School of Business, students apply and are approved to enroll in upper-level major courses in the Business Administration or Accounting Program and are reassigned to faculty advisors in their areas of interest (accounting, finance, management, international business, or marketing).
