How to Accept or Decline Aid

1. Open your web browser (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari, FireFox, Netscape, etc.).
2. If you have already created your TruView password, skip to step 8, if not go to step 3.
3. Type in the following address:  http://myaccount.truman.edu
4. Enter your User Name:   This code is located in the top right hand corner of your Financial Aid offer letter.
5. Enter your Truman (Banner) ID Number, your date of birth, and the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number.  
6. Create a security question and answer.  This question will be used in place of the last four digits of your Social Security Number for future password resets.  We recommend setting a question and answer that will be easy for you to remember, but hard for others to guess.
7. Enter and confirm your new password. 
8. Type in the following address:  https://truview.truman.edu.  You should see a login screen, with the heading TruView.
9. Click “Sign In”.
10. Enter your User Name
11. Enter your Password: This would be the password you created in step 7.
12. Click the “Login” button.  The main TruView page should appear.
13. Under “Tools” on the left-hand side, click on the “Student” or “Accepted Student” Tools. 
14. Scroll to the “Scholarships, Financial Aid and Loans” section.
15. Click on “Online Acceptance (View/Accept Financial Aid)”.
16. Click on “Online Acceptance (View/Accept Financial Aid)” under the Financial Aid Menu.
17. Follow the instructions on each page to complete the process.
18. If you have decided not to attend Truman, you may also access the site to cancel your aid offers.
19. Remember to log out when you are finished.
