Student Life is here to help you get the most out of your student experiences throughout your time at Truman.  We connect you with the resources you need to enhance your out-of-class experiences. Each Student Life department offers services and activities to help you develop a well-rounded student experience. Our supportive environment fosters fun while you learn skills that help prepare you for the future.

Teaching effective leadership and responsible citizenship, our team encourages you to explore community engagement so you can develop intellectual competencies and reflective judgment. We also teach the importance of balanced living by cultivating healthy habits through emotional, physical and spiritual well-being.

Student Life Departments

The ID Office issues Truman identification cards that serve as the ID card for every student, faculty, and staff member at Truman.
The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards (OCCS) strives to resolve allegations of misconduct under the Student Conduct Code in a manner consistent with its core values of fairness, honesty, and integrity.
The Student Health Center enhances the ability of students to succeed academically by providing compassionate, accessible, affordable and high-quality health care services.
The Student Recreation Center provides contemporary facilities, quality services and diverse sports programs that support the personal, social and physical development of students, faculty and staff.
The Student Union provides students, faculty, staff, and community members with an open, comfortable space to meet for events, meals, conferences, and many other opportunities.
Union and Involvement Services (U&I) provides students with valuable out of classroom experiences that enhance their academics and provide opportunities to develop transferable leadership, personal and collaborative skills.
University Counseling Services (UCS) offers supportive services to students, faculty and staff of the University. The UCS staff is a team of mental health professionals dedicated to the enhancement of the worth, dignity, potential and uniqueness of each individual.
The Women’s Resource Center (WRC) promotes awareness and understanding of women’s and gender issues at Truman and in the surrounding community.
