You may also take advantage of the work and research opportunities at the University Farm. In addition, students are strongly encouraged to do an internship at an off-campus site, such as an agribusiness or a governmental agency in the U.S. or abroad.

Here’s a sample of some of the research agricultural economics and agribusiness students and faculty at Truman have worked on:
- survey of financial conditions of Northeast Missouri farmers;
- the relevance of USDA fruit and vegetable grades and standards to Kirksville consumers;
- economic impact of farmers’ markets and pick-your-own farms on low-income consumers and small farmers of Adair County;
- the economic impact of corporate farms in Northeast Missouri.
Internships
Internships are available at off-campus sites in research, agri-business, or with governmental agencies and are also available in other parts of the U.S. or abroad.
