Why did you choose Truman?
I choose Truman because of Pre-Masters of Education Route which allows me to combine both of passions.
Why did you choose your major?
I chose my major because I have always wanted to go into Human Resource in schools, but I also always wanted to be a special education teacher. Truman will prepare me for both.
Now that you are a student, what do you like most about being a Truman student?
The thing I love most about being a Truman student is the classroom atmosphere. I get the opportunity to build a relationship with my professors and classmates, which makes going to class much more enjoyable.
What piece of advice would you give to first-year students?
My advice to first-year students would be don’t be afraid to get involved in something you don’t know much about.
What is your best or favorite experience of your first year at Truman?
My favorite experience from my first year at Truman is just hanging out on the quad with friends playing spike ball and hammocking.
What is your favorite thing about living in Kirksville?
My favorite thing about living in Kirksville is how close everything is. I can almost walk anywhere and everywhere and it turns everything into an adventure.
