Research Interests: 19th- and 20th-century Peninsular Literature; masculinity studies, the indiano as an intersection of gender and empire; the Realist Novel; the short stories of Emilia Pardo Bazán.
Dr. Davis enjoys teaching all levels of Spanish language, culture, and literature, along with upper-level courses. With her specialty in Second Language Acquisition, she also teaches the graduate-level methods course for future language instructors. Dr. Davis also works closely with students in Linguaprofs, a pre-professional organization for MAE and pre-MAE French, Spanish, and ESOL teachers.
