Jason Turk (’02) is an attorney specializing in commercial litigation. Most recently, he was a partner at Blitz, Bardgett & Deutsch, LC, in St. Louis, where he represented businesses, individuals, and governments in a wide variety of disputes.
Turk has been recognized repeatedly for his outstanding performance for his clients; he received an Up and Coming Award from Missouri Lawyers Weekly in 2015 and was included in the Best Lawyers in America publication. Beginning in 2017, Turk was one of the lead counsel in St. Louis’s lawsuit against the National Football League following the Rams’ departure from the City. The lawsuit was followed closely by the worldwide sports and business press. Nearly five years of high-profile complex litigation resulted in a historic $790 million settlement for the St. Louis region.
Turk graduated from Truman in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. He was active in Beta Theta Pi, Student Activities Board, and several other campus groups. He received his juris doctorate from the University of Missouri- Columbia School of Law in 2006 and was an associate editor of the Missouri Law Review.
Turk has volunteered with Truman’s St. Louis Alumni Chapter for many years, including serving as its president. He was also a two-term member of the Alumni Association Board.
Turk lives in St. Louis with his wife, Janeen (’00), and their two young children. Jason and Janeen were honored as Truman’s Young Alumni of the Year in 2015.
