Housing Options

Living on campus is a great way to start your Truman experience — from being close to campus resources and making new friends to support from the Residence Life staff — on-campus living is the place to be!

Our residence halls come in all shapes and sizes — community-bathroom, suited-bathroom and apartment style — and include laundry facilities, lounges, Wi-Fi, and furniture. All buildings are tobacco-free.

Room Type Definitions:

  • Community Double: A room housing two individuals, with a community-style bathroom.
  • Community Deluxe Double: A room, that is larger than a “double”, housing two individuals, with a community-style bathroom.
  • Community Single: A room housing one individual, with a community-style bathroom.
  • Community Triple: A room housing three individuals, with a community-style bathroom.
  • Double Suite: A room housing two individuals, with a bathroom shared with an adjoining room.
  • Deluxe Double Suite: A room, that is larger than a “double”, housing two individuals, with a bathroom shared with an adjoining room.
  • Single Suite: A room housing one individual, with a bathroom shared with an adjoining room.
  • Triple Suite: A room housing three individuals, with a bathroom shared with an adjoining room.
  • Community Double Buy-out: A room designed for two individuals, but is made available for one, with a community-style bathroom. These spaces have an increased cost.
  • Double Suite Buy-out: A room designed for two individuals, but is made available for one, with a bathroom shared with an adjoining room. These spaces have an increased cost.

On-campus Apartments

The on-campus apartments provide the opportunity for an independent living space, with the added convenience and benefits of still living on campus. If you are an incoming transfer student or need family housing, this may be the option for you. The University apartments offer one- and two-bedroom apartment spaces, with a kitchenette for each unit.
