We offer over 40 visit opportunities each week throughout the weekday, as well as a number of select Saturdays. Hear from an admission counselor, talk with faculty, and take a walking tour of campus. We also have virtual visits offered each week.

Submit your enrollment deposit to save your spot at Truman

This is your first step to letting us know you want to be a Bulldog! Once you’re admitted and planning on attending Truman, login to TruView and submit your Enrollment Deposit. Doing so will help us make sure we’re holding the appropriate classes open for you and other students based on your interests.

Submit your housing application and fee/deposit as soon as you can!

Housing Options New Student Housing Registration

Early submission of the housing application and housing application fee/deposit will help ensure you receive your top choice for your residence hall. The application and fee can be completed online through your student portal. After submitting your housing application, you may return to the form to modify your room preferences or roommate selections before May 1 or until you have selected a room, whichever occurs first. Housing allocations are made on a first-come, first-served basis.

FAFSA website

Truman’s Financial Aid Office does not require students and families to complete the Federal Application for Free Student Aid (FAFSA), but FAFSA completion is necessary to be eligible for state and federal grants and loans. Completion of the FAFSA is not necessary for merit-based scholarships consideration through the Admission Office.

Orientation

At Orientation, you will create your schedule, meet other incoming students, and gather information important to both you and your family. It prepares you for and provides a smooth transition into college.

Return the required medical documents including your medical history form, insurance form, and vaccination record to the Student Health Center by May 15, or as soon as you are able, for those experiencing difficulties with office closures. For students living on campus, you will not be able to move in until the Student Health Center has received all of the materials.

To make sure your incoming student record is finalized, you will need to submit your final transcripts to the Office of Admissions. Note that we require all transcripts from your college courses (dual enrollment) and all AP, IB, and CLEP test scores be submitted to Truman.

Moving to campus will elicit a roller coaster of emotions, and our Truman Week program for new students is designed to make your transition to Truman State University easy. Before coming to campus, check the Residence Life’s suggested items to bring. Then, get to campus early, set up your room, and start making friends your first day on campus.
